Two questions.
1) What's you'r biggest fear (the really juicy irrational one)? The more personal, the more Universal, so let her rip.
2) What's the greatest, grandest vision or desire you've ever held? Seriously, no holds barred. Only one. What is it?
I want to know.

Help

Uooh, how interesting this is. I suppose a level of fear rises in me after i forget to analytically think. I hope never to become complacent with accepting what other people have to say.
Big A said it well, “Unthinking respect to authorities is truths greatest enemy.” wow that is such an empowering statement.
I fear, not actively participating in changing my level of fear about people who have become extremely tricky at influencing the masses by providing edited versions of their own realities. By providing us with material about themselves that is a departure from their truth, a depature from their impacts. (ie Monsanto- % of churches)
A grand desire of mine? To never waste any energy. To become toatally aware of my impacts. to become totally aware of how I am being impacted. To become capable of impacting things with a choosen intention. To need nothing and to have everything…
thanks kris,
love and peace
How well crafted. Harlan, you are always an example of speaking and living your truths, there never seems to be an “integrity gap” so to speak. You walk the talk. That creates self-trust, self-awareness and self-love. And it paves the way to never having to waste energy…pointing back to your entry. It's evident that your relationship with yourself is strong and that keeps you grounded.
Thanks for stepping up to the challenge of answering the questions. I love learning and gaining insights from such interesting and courageous people. Becoming totally aware of your impacts and how you're being impacted. That says it all. Absolute personal responsibility. No victimization, pure creation. Bold and clear-minded. So nice.
You remind me of Chris, the main character in INTO THE WILD. Finally saw it this weekend. Brilliant.
All the love.
Namaste,
Kris
hehe thanks kris, your words seem to be a nice pickmeup for me ego (o: but I am not sure how much of a walking talker i really am. It is easy to present a clear-clever picture when editing is so readily available.
I do victimize myself and I create ambiguity within when I think about my desires.. I act selfishly and I know there is major areas of my life that I outsource responsibility to allow antiproactive behaviors. I am addicted to many things.
Another grand desire of mine: let go of all addictions
NOTHING is worth absolute control…….. so this makes me ponder, why are some absolutes so damn comforting? Like the phrase “Absolute responsibility”? can i really take absolute control of myself? Can I claim it is 100% me that is forging the way? OR are we, to some %, victims of circumstances?
:o) thanks for the oppertuinty to gain insights!!! (o:

Hi Harlan.
Train of thought.
Eben Pagan is a mentor of mine. He's a brilliant business man who knows what he wants and even moreso, knows that in order to get what we wants, he needs to directly help LOTS of others get what they want. I guess this is true in business and in life in general. (I love being a yogi and happily and freely talking about WANTS….ahh, so refreshing. I mean, big difference from where I was a few years back when I had a whole lotta guilt and am-I-worthy issues about wanting money or any other loaded desire–even if it was backed by the purest of intentions and ethical, even philanthropic plans).
Back to Eben. My partners and I just spent a hefty $10K each to go to his Get Altitude Marketing Training in LA, and it was worth every penny. I learned so much about the big picture of conscious business AND all the little gears that make it go. One of the main points Eben drove home was this idea that people love connecting. Of course. And that “the more personal, the more Universal.”
What I mean is, the more personal we are in what we'll allow ourselves to share, the more Universal those thoughts are, and the more people will feel like they know you and you understand them. The more personal and uncensored our thoughts and our message is, the more people feel safe to be open themselves. The more people go “Oh yeah, I'm like that too! She's a weirdo just like me… and has irrational fears and quirky tendencies just like me! And her desires are not so different from mine. Ah, how good it feels to connect and relate. I'm a social being and that's what I'm designed to do.”
The whole reason I'm telling this story and going around my elbow to get to my arse is because that's what you DO. When you write you don't hide. You're just REAL. You probably couldn't do it any other way. It comes natural to you. My friend Kerry-Anne is that way too. What a sweetie she is. Most don't have that kind of courage. Or if they do, they have to excercise it. It takes practice, when you live in a society and a culture like ours, to be REAL. To not put on a facade or over-censor or edit.
But there's a shift happening and WOW you can really feel it. People are wanting to be REAL. The face of business itself is changing. Zaadz is a great example of that. It's all about REAL connection, relationships, co-creation and community versus hierarchy and competition. Nearly every business, product or service provides, either directly or indirectly, a feeling of relief… and it's generally around 3 categories; health, wealth, and love. The human trinity of desire… the very desire that causes us to evolve and expand, to create new solutions, new technology, new possibilities.
And so conscious business is really adding value to the lives of customers and clients. It's creating momentum in this SHIFT. I dig it. Really. I totally embrace it and can't wait to harness it even more to unleash more potential for this shift to keep…. uh, SHIFTING. The only thing we can count on is CHANGE, right? Might as well love it and not be afraid of it. Just keep floating downstream towards what life has caused to desire, and therefore create in solution format. Slowly but surely we're evolving out of the old LACK mentality and we're all starting to get that it's WIN-WIN or no deal. No one ever has to LOSE. There's no need for it. We're all in this together my friends.
Whew, that train was a whirlwind, yeah? Her'e one final loop. Speaking of trains, that's independent film that's out right now with Owen Wilson…the one set in India…what is it? Darjeeling Limited. PHENOMENAL…. so frickin funny. I laughed my head off.
And with that I'm off.
All the love,
Kris
Thanks for these questions…I'm wrestling with them:)
